Institutional Ethics Committee
All research in MNR Medical College and Hospital adheres strictly to the guidelines and regulations put forth by the Institutional Ethics Committee or the IEC.
IEC was constituted by the Indian Institute of Public Health- Delhi (IIPH-D) in February, 2011. It is a registered body, duly recognized by the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) โ formed under the Central Standard Control Organization, Government of India.
The purpose of Institutional Ethics Committee is to ensure adherence to highest ethical standards in all the research to protect the health and basic rights of human subjects. IEC is also governed by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) guidelines.
The MNR Medical College and Hospital strictly follows the rules and regulations put forth by the IEC, and thereby have obtained certifications from three certifying bodies:
Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO)
Certification and regulatory compliance approved under the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization guidelines.

Recognition and certification provided by the Department of Health Research for ethical and research practices.

Institutional approval and supervision certification for ethical animal experimentation and research activities.
