MNR Library & Resource Center

As a medical facility, it is extremely mandatory to impart enough knowledge to the students through lectures as well as added materials, such as books. When it comes to medical education, each medical case and every material that one can get hold is as significant as theory and practical sessions. We, at MNR Medical College and Hospital, have ensured to create an environment where the ‘needs of medical education’ meets the best available resources at all times! Our ‘Research Center and Library’ offers a plethora of opportunities, immense knowledge and a world of learning to our young medical professionals.

State of Art Library and Knowledge Center

With the strong policies of the great Mahatma – ‘TRUTH AND NON-VIOLENCE’ echoing the corridors, our state of the art knowledge center and library offers the best of opportunities to the medical professionals. Having had the privilege of being inaugurated by the Mission Man of India, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam our knowledge center boosts of some exclusive editions and innumerable treasures for the present and the would-be medical fraternities.

Our facilities include:

Enhanced Seating Capacities: There is no place like a library to soak in all the information without any distraction. TO this effect, our library seats about 300 scholars and medical professionals in one go to benefit from all the knowledge that the world of books has to offer.

Virtual Class Rooms: The knowledge center and library houses a virtual class rooms where lectures on ground-breaking innovations and discussions are conducted.

Journal Sections: Research journals are an integral part of any library and knowledge center. Our journal sections in the knowledge center have within its confines some of the latest researches and publications and are accessible to the students.

Stock and Circular Sections: Medical books and reading materials are available for circulation for the students of MNR Medical College and Hospital. The rules and regulations for borrowing or stock piling can be accessed on site

Reference Area: The reference area is designed to bring to the table those books and reading materials which are unique, and valuable. The students, faculty members and doctors can have access to these reading materials in the knowledge center premises.

Internet Facility:

• Internet facility is available only for the regular members of MNR Campus students and Faculty
• Internet Facility is available from Monday to Saturday. During Public holidays & Sunday Internet access is not available.
• Central Library is providing Internet facilities - Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), Browsing Area, Wi-Fi net, Laptop Zone, Corporate members and other visiting scholars cannot access internet and e-resources
• Users are advised to make use of this facility only to support their academic and research activities
• Users should not use USB devices / pen drives for data transfer to avoid the entry of computer virus. Such file/data transfer can be done as e-mail attachments
• It is our collective responsibility, as far as the safety of the systems is concerned. Please bring to the notice of the Chief Librarian any misuse of the systems. Chief Librarian reserves the right to stop extending this facility to a person found misusing, apart from initiating action as per the rules by the MNR Management.

Reprography Services:

• The requesting Central library/individual will have to follow the copyright regulations. They cannot request for copies of entire journal issue or a theses/dissertation or a book
• Users can request for photocopies of articles from the print journals or a chapter in a book or a few pages in thesis available at MNR Central Library,(collecting nominal charges for Xeroxing)

DELNET:

• E- Journals/ e-Books Access from DELNET for Faculty members, research scholars and students can use the central library facility for their research work or reference.
